London Boatshow.......lots of shoe polish .....but hardly any boats!! A reliable source informed me tonight that the Boatshow seems to be rather empty when it comes to realizing the dreams of a sailor. Years of dwindling visitors and the lack of overseas interest have made many yacht dealer think twice about participating in the London Boatshow. Due to a build up of the stands over the festive holidays and the related long build up time, the Boatshow has become an expensive investment for many of the dealers. One of them remarked " for the cost of presenting a yacht, build up the stand and staff it at a London Boatshow I can fly my customers in by concord!"
